While a Client’s file may have its status changed (see the Changing a Client’s Status SOP for more information), AlayaCare also allows users to modify a Client’s services individually. This SOP has two purposes.
- Discuss cases where a single service may need to be placed on hold
- Provide users with clear instructions to change a Services status
Situations where a Service may be placed on hold
Client Services may be placed on hold if the Client is receiving additional service through a Family member or a community support program, but Nurse Next Door support is still required (for example, a Client’s family member is providing Caregiver support, but the Client still requires Nursing support
Placing a Client’s Service on Hold
Follow the steps below to successfully add a Client Contact to a Client’s file
- Access the Client’s file
- Review the Client Files SOP for a summary of data that can be used to search for Client files.
- Navigate to the Care Management tab
- Locate the Service whose status you need to change
- If you are changing the status of a Discharged or On Hold service, you are required to change the filters
- Click the name of the service highlighted in blue
- Click the current status
- Select a new status. Depending on the status you select, you may need to enter an Effective Date and a Reason
- Click OK
